London Met Freshers’ 2016 starts Monday 26 September
London Met’s Freshers’ activity starts on Monday 26 September.
There are two weeks of amazing events and entertainment, followed by a huge Freshers’ closing party on Friday 14 October.
Freshers’ Fairs are in Aldgate campus on Tuesday 4 October, and in Holloway campus on Thursday 6 October.
Most events are free for Freshers, you can get a free entry wristband from our student venue The Rocket, or from our events team at enrolment around the different campuses.

We’re closer to the end of exams and the start of term proper, and that means it’s almost time to let your hair down after all that revision!!
So on that note we have some great events at The Rocket coming up.
WELCOME BACK PARTY – 8pm – 3am – FRIDAY 24th JANUARY

We’re throwing a big FREE party for all students at The Rocket Complex, to celebrate the end of exams and to welcome everyone to term time!
We’ve got 2-4-1 cocktails from 8pm – 10pm, and DJs and dancing until the wee hours.
And most importantly it will be Metcard discounts at the bar ALL NIGHT!!!

London Anime Convention – 8th and 9th February 2014
We’re proud to once again be hosting the awesome London Anime Convention.
This is an event not to be missed for all fans of anime, cartoons, fancy dress and video games!
Tickets are £18 for the entire weekend and you can buy tickets and get more info here.

‘Tis The Season for great events at The Rocket…
He’s gonna be down your chimney soon.
Hope you’ve been busy in the gym and saving your dollar throughout November people… For it is now December and ’tis the season to stuff your face with mince pies and roasts with wild abandon!
Make sure to pop into The Rocket for the best priced coffee and occasional free mince pies if you’re lucky!

CHRISTMAS CINEMA SPECIAL IN THE BACK ROOM – every Monday and Tuesday from 6pm
At 6pm every Monday and Tuesdays in December, the Back Room of The Rocket gets turned into a mini cinema, how cool!!
It’s free entry, comfy sofas, warm and relaxing with the film starting at 6pm, with free popcorn and hot chocolate for 75p!
The film will also be shown on a screen with sound in the main room of The Rocket.

Party in the tropical courtyard with DJs, a BBQ, and a steel drum band.

Freshers Fortnight!
Fresher’s Fortnight is almost upon us…. are you ready??
Oh do we have some special treats in store for you!
The festivities kick off at The Rocket Complex on Monday 23rd September, and we have 2 weeks of free entertainment for all Freshers, until Friday 4th October.
From live music and club nights, to hypnotists and comedy, there is guaranteed to be something you will love… It’s a great time to get involved, make new friends, and best of all every event is free entry for you lucky Freshers, so you can make sure your money gets spent wisely (or at the bar!!).

All you need to get in to the events for free is your Freshers Wristband. You can get this from the Rocket Complex staff who will be at enrolment all week, sorting out your metcards and giving you wristbands!!

Make sure to get down to the LMU Freshers Fairs. We have one at each campus and they are a great way to stock up on freebies as well as join societies, get to know your SU, and see what else is going on around campus and in London.
