We have a couple of great Halloween events coming up next week at London Met.
Tuesday 24 October
First up is ‘Sew Spooky’… an event where you can swap your old Halloween costume to get a totally new one, upcycle an old one, and learn to make-do-and-mend! Click the link to register for a free ticket. Places are limited so hurry!
| Sew Spooky at London Met Uni – Halloween Costume Swap, drop in 10 – 4pm. Bring last years’ costume and swap it for something new to you. |
| Sew Spooky repairs – bring your clothes back from the dead, 11 – 12noon [book here] and 2 -3pm [book here]. Learn how to resurrect your wardrobe favourites and dip your toes into the world of sewing and repairs. |
| Sew Spooky Halloween Costume Making Workshop, 12:30 -1.30pm. Stuck with what to wear this Halloween? In this workshop you’ll learn how to make, alter or embellish clothes and costumes and turn them into something spooky. Book free ticket. |
Wednesday 25 October – Haunted Halloween Frat House!
It’s the big party you know and love at London Met… it’s Frat House! But this month something weird is going on… the house is HAUNTED?!?!?!
Will you be brave enough to investigate??
We’ll have:
Bloody beer pong (free) from 9pm–10pm
Best dressed will be crowned King and Queen of the Damned at midnight
Mummy wrapping contest, gunge lucky dip and toxic apple bobbing
Devilish DJs and demonic dancing all night
Tickets are £3 Metcard, £4 any student, £5 guest.
London Met students can sign in up to two guests.
Last entry strictly at 1am.
Guests must have photo ID for entry.

Freshers 2017 at London Met
London Met’s freshers activity starts on Monday 25 September 2017.
There are two weeks of amazing events and entertainment, followed by a huge closing party on Friday 13 October, the ‘Freshers’ Finale’. We also hold two Freshers’ Fairs at Holloway and Aldgate campus. There are events of all kinds and for all tastes, see the events calendar below:
Our two Freshers’ Fairs are held in Holloway campus on Thursday 6 October (held in The Great Hall and The Rocket building), and in Aldgate campus on Friday 13 October (at The Wash Houses).
Most events are free for Freshers, you can get a free entry wristband from our student venue The Rocket, or from our events team at enrolment around the different campuses.

London Met End of Year Summer Party – 26 May 2017
Our fave student event of the year is back!
Friday 26 May – 8pm until 2am, at our very own venue The Rocket Complex.
All details on our Facebook. Headline news is that you get TWO free drinks and a FREE BBQ dinner with your ticket!

London Met Freshers’ 2016 starts Monday 26 September
London Met’s Freshers’ activity starts on Monday 26 September.

Euro 2016 screenings for staff and students at The Rocket
The Rocket bar will be screening Euro 2016 matches where possible, and as a special opening event we will have the bar open for Republic of Ireland vs Sweden at 5pm on Monday 13 June.
The match will be screened live on the LCD screens in the Inner Courtyard (weather permitting), and in The Rocket.
The bar will be open during the screening for students and staff so come down and unwind after work… there will be a free drink for the first 25 customers from 4.30pm and cheap deals thereafter.
All 2pm weekday matches throughout the competition will be screened in The Rocket, with the bar open on other key occasions… depending on how England do!

Summer Garden 2016 at London Met starts Monday 18 April
We can’t wait for Summer, but until teaching ends instead we’ll have a BBQ every Thursday in the courtyard at Holloway Campus!
Delicious street food, giant games, music from Verve Radio and live music from our students as well as comfy deck chairs and more… not to be missed!
The first street food BBQ will be on Thursday 21 April, and then every Thursday if the weather is good!
Christmas Market at The Rocket – Tuesday 15 December
In conjunction with Accelerator we bring you a free Christmas Market featuring London Met’s best designer-makers, alongside local vendors, delightful mulled cider, mince pies and stalls from our sports teams and Students Union.
It’s on 12-8pm, Tuesday 15 December and it’s free for everyone! Come grab a great gift!
